He really needed more strong pokemon.[break][break]

With his failures mentally hitting him while he tired to fight in some skirmishes he understands one of his biggest problems. His lack of numbers and his lack of strength. And while his numbers were slowly growing he need more to at least have a full team. The last time he tried capturing a strong pokemon, his brother Asriel Pryde was with him, and the jerk just antagonized him the whole time. Many he once knew seemed to be somewhat hostile or passive aggressive toward him with no explanation really so he asked if Cillian would join him when the rumors of Toxic Chain pokemon coming to a rise. Even apparently a trio that were the first to be infected?[break][break]

He wasn't sure of the story really, so he needed someone that he could get along with, and wasn't afraid of any ghost considering where they were at. Besides that he wanted the chance to show his old lab brother his new look that his Zorua was able to use for him. Once he would've caught sight of the other a wide smile couldn't help but spread on his features, "What you think?" he questions completely forgetting to even greet the man in his excitement.

He doesn't recognize Raziel, at first.[break][break]

He might have assumed that this was some random stranger if the blond hadn't turned to grin at him. The question sets the gears in Cillian's brain churning as he recovers from the fact that-[break][break]

"You look like Theo."[break][break]

It's jarring. He looks like he could be THEO BECKETT's little brother, except for the eyes. His eyes remind Cillian of Lulu Flint and Rowan Wrynn. Of himself.[break][break]

It's oddly touching, and he doesn't know how to process that.[break][break]

So he says, "It's a good disguise. Your Zorua's talented."[break][break]

He can't even see the scars.[break][break]

The Luxray that prowls at Cillian's side is reminiscent of a different underboss, one who'd terrorized Cillian throughout his time in Kanto Rocket. But Silas was dead, and this Luxray answered only to the shadows. The UMBRAL PREDATOR parts her jaws, already tasting the air for any trace of their prey.

"Right!?" he replies back excitingly as he squats down to pet and scratch his Zorua who was happy at the praise. "Theo says it was probably for the best if the Rangers still think me dead so been making sure it practiced this, when it first tried the scar and hair didn't look the best, but it's improved so much since," he explained as he continued the pets of praise. [Break][break]

He leaves out the other big reason for the change. Namely in the eyes, but it wasn't like the other was asking questions about it anyway. [Break][break]

Thanks again for coming, I've been hearing a lot of rumors as of late of some trio where the chains originate from have been showing up," he doesn't know their names but the idea of obtaining more toxic c washain pokemon excited him. He wanted to be strong, needed to be if he wanted useful.

Cillian nods along with Raziel's explanation, only half listening as he adjusts to the new look.[break][break]

He scowls when the Loyal Three are mentioned, however, his focus returning with a hatred so fierce that his eyes darken to corrupted violet.[break][break]

"I'd rather not run into them."[break][break]

He doesn't elaborate, forgetting that Raziel might not know about the imprisonment.[break][break]

Scathach lashes her tail with a low hiss, taking off confidently in a direction. Cillian follows wordlessly, expecting Raziel would do the same.

The scowl is missed but the anger in the other's voice is not. He's already experienced enough of that with jayden cross and his family so picking it up with Cillian now was little issue. "Why is that? Are they that dangerous?" Raziel can't help but question. He hasn't heard too much about them aside that they were the original trio with the chains that had come to be infecting pokemon across the region. Nothing else such as the kidnapping or imprisonment, hell even as Razz he wasn't one of the many abducted and had to focus on the aftermath of those missing. [break][break]

Though the Luxray seems to catch something within it's senses and he makes sure to give chase. Though as they seem to get deeper into the mountain it seems like there is only ghost roaming around. Stopping only once they get to a grave where it seems for a moment the scent of the Luxray's pray was gone. The young grunt tries to look around as his bulbasaur also tries to pick up on the scent of whatever it was hiding. "Oh hey look at this!" Raziel calls out as he seems to pick up a small stone statue of some dog like pokemon. [break][break]

A mistake he'd come to realize as the moment he picked it up Toxic Chains spew up from the ground and lash out at the group with a TOXIC SWING.

He hates to admit weakness. Ironically, the very thing that OKIDOGI had preyed upon in his capture. But when Raziel asks of the danger, Cillian can only concede, "Yes."[break][break]

They'd abducted the underboss and many of Rocket's finest, along with champions of the League. He's still not sure how they'd managed it, and even less if they'll be able to do it again. So there's a genuine flash of fear in his eyes as the TOXIC CHAINS spring up from the ground. For a moment, Raziel might see Gavin Merlino in that fear.[break][break]

Where he staggers back, Luxray springs forth in a WILD CHARGE.[break][break]

"We should leave," Cillian says urgently.

"But-" Raziel wants to protest but he notices the fear in the other's eyes and pauses it. He remembers that unlike Cillian he hasn't been traumatized by the original trio. He has also been actively looking for Toxic Chain pokemon so their appearance didn't scare him like it seemed the other. [break][break]

The wild charge seems to make some of the chains pause, and it leaves a possible opening for their escape. One in which Raziel tries to take advantage of but a chain comes at both trainers. The grunt wincing in pain as the chain wraps arounds his right arm and pulls back attempt to lock both humans in and prevent an escape. Raziel looks to where the chain is connected and sees a Ceruledge stopping them. There is an attempt to remove the chain but to no avail. [break][break]

Trying to defend his trainer his Zorua charges and uses a DARK PULSE on the chained pokemon. And while it does it and hurts them the grunt cries out in pain as well as if he felt the attack. That's when he realizes, "These are toxic tethers!" he warns the underboss, "Any pain that thing feels we feel," he looks over to Cillian to see if he had been tethered as well. [break][break]
